Jill Allan is a Canadian artist and educator originally from Vancouver Island. She graduated in 1999 with a BFA from ACAD, Calgary, and since that time she has built her career as an artist; designing, producing and promoting her work. In 2011 Jill travelled to Bowling Green, Ohio to pursue an MFA at BGSU and graduated in 2013. Jill has taught glass blowing and casting at AUArts, Calgary, Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and BGSU, Ohio. Her work is in the collections of the Canadian Craft Museum, the Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass,The Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Edmonton, Kirkwood Community College, Iowa and the Making Treaty 7 Society, Calgary, among others.
