About

As a kid Leanne Shea Rhem was always playing dress up and creating costumes out of whatever materials she could find and it turns out she never stopped. Captivated by the expressive qualities and versatility of fibre based materials she now works as a Textile Artist, Designer and Illustrator in Picton, ON. Rhem is frequently travelling the world studying traditional craft practices, designing, drawing, sewing and making art. As the Owner and Creative Director of Gold & Ginger she has a commitment to slow design and small batch production allowing her to ensure a high attention to detail, quality, durability and function.
