Sharlene Young-Bolen is a Huron County-based needlework writer, knitting history enthusiast & newbie knitting designer with a love and appreciation for all things vintage and hand-stitched. Sharlene enjoys trying her hand at historic knit reproductions. Her recent knitting kit, the Wheeler Mitts Kit, features a reproduction of the colourwork pattern of a pair of knitted gloves in the textile collection of the Huron County Museum & Historic Gaol. Sharlene works in natural fibres, preferring to use local wool for her creative work.
