À propos

I am a self-taught wood turner and a retired Civil Engineer. I live in the Fraser Valley and work out of my Albery Studio, named for my three grandchildren Alex, Ben and Ryan.

I use mostly locally available woods from felled trees, branch trimmings and mill offcuts. Whilst I generally have an idea of what a piece is to be, the actual shape often appears to emerge as if it was there, waiting to be released. In this regard, I strive to fashion each piece as it seems to want to go. I do not have any particular lines or runs; each piece is unique, is given a serial number, then monogrammed and the wood species marked.

I am a member of the Fraser Valley Woodturners Guild and I am a member of the Craft Council of British Columbia, with pieces on exhibit at their Crafthouse on Granville Island, Vancouver and their gift shop at Vancouver International Airport.

I sell my work through several local gift shops and at craft fairs in the Valley. I have executed a number of pieces on request and my work is in homes in the Valley, the USA, Europe and the Middle East.
