Eugene participated in strategic planning and decision-making processes to guide the organization's efforts in promoting and teaching leathercraft.
Eugene studied cowboy boot making in Mexico, English saddle making in Scotland and leathercraft in Toronto. He has won multiple awards, including "Best in Show" in 2014, 2015 and 2019. As a Fellow of CSCL he was responsible for the education of the guild members.
Eugene runs a popular YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/eugenepik/ with over 8000 subscribers with tutorials of his work, and runs a personal website https://pikva.com/ to showcase his work.
