Détails de localisation I live in the Hamlet of Beaver Creek West, which is approximately 13 km. south of Saskatoon on Hwy. 219.
I have been making art in one form or another since I was a child. For the past several years, I have been exploring free motion embroidery to create three dimensional, textural surfaces and photo-realistic images. My embroidery technique involves the layering of different threads one over the other, often completely covering the canvas, to create a rich and detailed surface. I have also been experimenting with various forms of background fabric, frequently utilizing my own photographs, in order to eliminate the need for commercial fabric. I am fortunate to live in the country with easy access to natural areas such as the Beaver Creek Conservation Area and Cranberry Flats, where my husband and I have been photographing for over 30 years. All of my work is done on a regular sewing machine.
