I am a craftsman driven by passion. Growing up with a spiritual connection to trees, I feel that it is my dharma to pursue the fine art of woodworking. This relationship compels me to find higher levels of skill in the woodworking and design arts. A mid-life career exit allowed me to further explore my connection to wood and craft. The challenge to shape and unite material into a functional form of lasting quality resonates most with my soul. My work primarily focuses the traditional hand tools as they strengthen the connection between the tree and the final functional form. It is a difficult relationship to describe, but the silence in the shop makes it more personal.
