About

Valerie is an interdisciplinary fibre artist who creates role-play sculptural rug pieces inspired by ecosystems in Canada. Biomimicry, speculative design and textile re-use are strategies used to describe relationships with land and identity. Her wild-like wearables are made using rug hooking and rug coiling, creating a meeting point between inside and outside worlds.
