About
Having trained in fibre and textile design as well as fine arts, I create items drawing inspiration from my environment in Northwestern Ontario. I incorporate as many recycled materials as possible into the work, be it two-dimensional art or wearable garments, using up second hand sweaters, tweed coats, and wool blankets in the search for comfort and beauty. A combination of silk-screening, machine and hand stitching complete the pieces, creating symbolic and recognizable imagery on my wall hangings and clothing.
