My desire is to create realistic depictions of friends and neighbors in their everyday situations. Clay is the perfect partner in honoring the hardworking, unassuming people of Saskatchewan. Clay, like people, can take on any form but can be unyielding if the situation demands: neighbors handling a situation, a father and his unreasonable daughter, a child delighting in his dog, all these are moments worthy of recording. Their faces and body language communicate some of the unspoken connections that tie us all together. I strive to communicate through clay.
