About

Lilliana is an environmental engineer, weaver, and fashion designer. Born and raised in Peru, she was surrounded by fanciful colors and patterns from the very beginning.
Lilliana has designed and woven almost 600 textile pieces that are held in private collections worldwide under Paz Industrias and Paz Handmade labels in the Baby-wearing community.
She has been honoured to teach the craft of weaving. Her presence is more than just to familiarize students with the technique, but also to help them realize their creativity.
She went to Kootenay School of Art in Nelson to study Fiber Arts and has studied weaving under Leola Witt in Vancouver Island.
Her environmental engineering background gave her a solid education in the values of sustainability, but her weaving practice and textile creation have truly fired her passion to see unique, colorful fabrics put out into the world.
She works with natural yarns like cotton, linen, tencel, alpaca and silk. She sources her yarns from Canada and Peru. She also hand-dyed her yarns to bring unique colors to her creations.
She was born in Peru, has lived in the Dominican Republic and currently resides in Victoria BC Canada.

Lilliana-
"Weaving grounds me and allows me to fly at the same time.
I see colors as a messenger of happiness. Bold textiles! I want colors to be part of everyday life.
I find love, comfort, and warmth in textiles."
