About
After more than two decades in the North, Leslie Leong is deeply affected by northern culture, society & environment and the relationships between them. Her practice began with photography and became interdisciplinary, employing a variety of expressive forms often using unorthodox materials, forcing her to adopt non-traditional techniques. "I love using found materials and recycled/re-purposed materials as a way of questioning our relationship to stuff." Her work ranges from a variety of flat work media to 3-dimensional work, often involving a functional aspect.
