Cathie Ugrin is a Winnipeg based fabric artist whose work is characterized by a rich and inventive use of colour, and unique approach to geometrical design. Working primarily in large-scale, she has recently challenged herself to create smaller pieces that specifically convey a chosen idea such as movement, emotion or depth. Her abstract format allows for broad and accessible interpretation. Through the exploration and use of different techniques and her compelling use of colour, she provides a distinct view of her artistic vision.
