Anne has been making pottery since the age of 9 when she started volunteering at a historic village pottery shack. Her first wheel was a blue battery operated table top toy that ate D batteries like candy and could not turn fast enough to centre a glob of Jell-o.
After flopping around art school for a while eventually graduating from NSCAD University in 2005 Anne found she missed clay in her hair and chronically dirty hands.
Her professional career started in 2006 after purchasing used equipment from a potter she had been working for as the pottery shut its doors. Anne has made her living mostly through pots ever since.
