About

The exhibition, ASHOONA: Enduring Art Stories, is dedicated to the unique cultural and artistic heritage of one of the most prolific and recognized family’s of Inuit art. Curated by Goota Ashoona, it marks important historical moments of the family work and their ongoing contemporary art production through the work of 23 members of the family. At the heart of the exhibition is a vast diversity of mediums, projects, and works from the Ashoona family throughout the years. The family’s artistic production also presents a historic relationship reflected in La Guilde’s collection and as a venue for the sale of contemporary Inuit art.
