Nicolina Sebok / Flux Jewelry Design
My work is a collection of handmade contemporary jewelry. Each piece is hand fabricated, not cast, in ethical precious metals, making every piece one of a kind.
My greatest inspirations are the pauses in the day, in the forest, garden or at the beach, which sparks new ideas and designs.
Many processes develop each design - texturing, hammering, soldering, heating, roll printing, or melting. I am inspired by experimental processes, the thrill of change as each piece evolves. Each piece is unique, a delicate sculpture, expressing its own process. Metalsmithing is my passion, exploring form, light, colour and texture through making jewelry.
Recent work explores roll printing fabrics in metal, reticulation, electro-etching and enamelling. I live and work from my rural studio in southwest Ontario where I continue to build my jewelry collection and explore new techniques.
All work is made from SCS Certified metals, ensuring 100% recycled content.
