About

Kathy Kranias is a clay sculptor based in Toronto. Her sculptures are held in public and private collections, including the Canadian embassies in Beijing, Belgrade, and Washington DC, and numerous private collections across Canada, the US and France. Solo exhibitions include "Archetypes in Clay" at the David Kaye Gallery (Toronto, Canada, 2010) and "Becoming the Persephone" at the Art Gallery of Peterborough (Peterborough, Canada, 2009). Kranias earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts cum laude from Concordia University (1986) and her Master of Arts cum laude from York University (2015), where she was awarded the SSHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Master’s Scholarship.
