Dana has masters degree in architecture from Prague, Czech Republic. She worked for 10 years in architectural firms in Prague and Toronto, before deciding to switch to textile art. Dana established and for 20 years run the company Artacious, which was designing and painting silk fabrics and producing painted silk artwear, selling to the boutiques, craft shops and galleries across Canada and United States, few times to Japan, England and Mexico. Since moving from Toronto to Canmore in Canadian Rockies in 1997, Dana became involved in the art community and is now full time studio artist, working in mixed media, acrylics and textiles, functional or nonfunctional. Dana won many awards for her art locally, nationally and internationally.
