Dale Lowe is a Regina-based woodturning artist whose work is strongly influenced by his Saskatchewan roots. Being raised in a prairie farm environment his work reflects the colors, textures and architecture of the rural and urban spaces in which he has lived.
Dale is a juried professional member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council and has had his work accepted in numerous juried exhibitions in Saskatchewan. He has recently been awarded the ”First Place Award” along with “Best Finish” and "Best First Time Entry” in the Biannual exhibition of the Southern Alberta Woodworkers Society in Calgary, Alberta for his piece “Maple Pods”.
Dale truly enjoys the process and the challenge of creating special pieces that can be enjoyed as Art. He believes that art made with wood inspires the observer to touch the pieces and engage in the intimate experience of holding finely crafted work.
