Cynthia was graduated from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. With a strong narrative style, Cynthia’s work often combines nature, human figures and animals. Education career experience makes Cynthia believe that art is the purest way to communicate, and narrative works would be better conveyed without the use of language and text. Cynthia doesn’t like to make a clear definition or set up a complete framework for her sculptures and illustrations because she has been always encouraging students and viewers to get unique understanding and concepts by seeing artworks. In the meantime, she would like audiences to consider the individual, life and their relationship with the planet.
