Learn the beautiful art of mending! This 3 hour workshop will cover necessary stitches and methods to equip you with the skills to mend your own garments in the Japanese Sashiko style. Learn to care for your garments and make your clothes last longer.

No sewing experience is required. Please bring any garments you have that require patching (wovens are preferable).

Meet your instructor:

Anna-Marie Janzen is a local seamstress who specializes in mending. She was taught to sew starting at the age of 3 by her grandmother, and has loved it ever since. Mending was always a part of her understanding of what it means to own and wear clothes, and she brings this to the public through her business, Reclaim Mending.
