Punch Needle rug hooking is an exciting, easy, and addictive art. And it’s not just for crafting rugs! In this workshop, Oxford certified instructor Simone Vojvodin will guide you through the process of creating a beautiful textile zippered clutch or pencil case using fine wool and the Oxford fine punch needle. You will learn all the basics of punch needle, tips and tricks, plus methods that make the finishing of your project quick and easy. The kit fee includes a pattern on monks cloth, yarns, zipper, and handouts. This workshop is suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced.

Simone Vojvodin is very passionate about teaching punch needle rug hooking and has been an Oxford Certified instructor since 2011. A nature and animal lover, she resides in the countryside near Dutton, Ontario where she has her studio, Red Maple Ruggery. Simone loves designing patterns, dying wool, helping students and, of course, punching rugs- which she describes as “paintings in wool.” Her award-winning rugs have been featured in exhibitions in Canada and the United States and images of her work have been published in a variety of magazines and books.
