This award, offered by the Ville de Montréal, recognizes artists at the beginning of their careers. It highlights the remarkable quality of their creations and their original contributions to craft practices. It also promotes the excellence of Montreal's creative talent in the community and promotes the work of these emerging artists. Every year, in parallel with the finalists' works, La Guilde holds a solo exhibition of the last year's recipient.
