When iron is associated with the notion of will, the image created evokes "a disposition of character which leads to making decisions with firmness and to lead them to their end without weakness, overcoming all obstacles" (Larousse). This disposition of character, it is necessary for all the creators who work with iron or with other metals, that they are blacksmiths, sculptors, cutlers, jewelers or goldsmiths. The same applies to ceramists, weavers and painters who use iron in the form of oxides, salts or pigments.
The 17 artistic proposals presented at the Vieux Presbytère in Deschambault and at the Moulin de La Chevrotière, demonstrate the creativity, mastery and commitment of 19 creators who have the will to design meaningful objects and thus achieve their goals and dreams.
