About

From October 25 to November 20, 2022, discover the work of established ceramic artist Steven Heinemann in Possible Worlds: A Selection from Two Decades. This mini exhibition in our Sherbrooke Street West window-display, presents a selection of porcelain works and highlights the integration of photography and video in his artistic practice over the past few years.

Since receiving his MFA from the Alfred University (NY, USA) in 1983, Steven Heinemann has taught in Canada and the United States. The bowl, a humble and almost inconsequential form, has become the work of a lifetime for the artist. In addition to receiving numerous awards and grants, including the Saidye Bronfman Award (1996), his work has been exhibited internationally and included in several private and public collections, namely the Victoria and Albert Museum (London, UK), the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA), and the World Ceramic Center (Incheon, South Korea).
