The MCC is excited to be hosting a series of online artist talks via Youtube live! These talks are part of the MCC's 2022 Year of Eco Craft, relating to climate change and environmental sustainability through the lens of contemporary craft practice. Our first speaker is Anna Hunter!
Local Cloth: Reflections from the One Year One Outfit Challenge

The One Year One Outfit Challenge is a community creation of stories and fibre based pieces that explore and celebrate local material and human resources within our Fibreshed. Anna Hunter -co-director of the Pembina Fibreshed -will look at the process of creating clothing and textiles using only those resources, labour and dye material sourced within 200 miles of the Pembina River Valley. This challenge works to expose both the fragility and strength within our local clothing supply chains and how we can build resilience for the future.
