Craft Demonstrations:
Patty Sauder, Weaving: 10:30 – 1:00
Patty Sauder has been a weaver for over 30 years, is a member and Past Present of the Manitoba Weavers and Fibre Artists, and currently teaches beginner weaving. Patty will be showcasing a type of weaving designed on the loom as the warp is being put on. The weft uses leftover yearns and even ribbon.
Debra Frances, Bookbinding: 1:30 – 4:00
Debra Frances is a book artist who is best known for creating unique books with unusual materials. Her books often have a sculptural appearance and pair historical binding structures with innovative materials such as driftwood, logs, exotic woods, ceramics and metals.
