Valerie Metcalfe RCA, BFA Honours. Valerie graduated from Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba in 1974. In 1978 she helped found the Stoneware Gallery and The Stoneware Studio.
Valerie's specialty is refined, wheel thrown porcelain gas fired to cone 11. Her pieces have been exhibited and sold across Canada and are held in public and private collections around the world. Images of her work can be found in numerous ceramic publications. In 1994 she was elected into The Royal Canadian Academy of Art. She is currently profiled in "Who's Who in Canada". Over the years she has enjoyed sharing her knowledge with hundreds of student in classes and workshops.
