Garth Clark is a leading art critic and historian, curator, gallerist, and art dealer from Pretoria, South Africa who writes about modern and contemporary ceramic art as well as the craft movement. With his partner Mark Del Vecchio, he co-founded and ran the Garth Clark Gallery in New York City, Los Angeles, Kansas City, and London, UK. Together, Garth and Mark are responsible for over 500 exhibitions of contemporary ceramic art, launching numerous careers.

After five decades in the field, Garth Clark remains a provocative, witty voice, now encouraging a new controversial wave in the field. Author of over 80 books, 400 monographs essays and reviews, Clark is the founder of Cfile.Org and the cutting edge online Cfile. Daily, reaching 75,000 people in 196 countries every week.

Known for his wit, deep scholarship and engaging speaking style, Garth Clark’s lecture fuses his own biography in a dynamic multimedia presentation encompassing key revolutionary moments for ceramics since 1970.
