About

Open Studio Sale & Exhibition of Reverse-painted glass/verre églomisé.

Reverse-painted glass is an arcane treatment of glass involving paint, metal leaf and mineral powders in a technique that dates from at least 3 BCE.
This is the 15th annual cs jonas studio exhibition & sale, featuring platters, bowls, trivets, candleholders, coasters, brooches, cuff bracelets and mezuzahs...all lovingly handmade in this rarely-encountered art form.
Each piece has 10-15 layers of clear, translucent and opaque materials that yield a strikingly luminous effect when read from the “right” side of the glass.

Prices range from $6.00 to $1000.
3 Hillholm Road, 1st floor, Toronto.
